We do all the work necessary for you to receive the best possible value from the timely sale of your pieces.

If necessary, additional efforts to market your items through internet auctions will also include;

  2. Answering all telephone and email questions
  3. Processing payment
  4. Carefully pack & ship your fragile items to their new owners
  5. Handle any and all follow-up sale inquiries or issues

Please inquire about our pick-up service if you are unable to deliver or ship your pieces to our Pickering Office.

At the present time we are not purchasing inventory for delivery to our New York state warehouse. We will update this page when we are able to resume this practice.

How to Sell your items.

  1. Begin by making a complete list of the pieces you have that (in your opinion) are in perfect condition. Include with your list the manufacturer & pattern name from the bottom of your pieces. Be sure to include any pattern numbers (hand painted or printed) and a comment about the primary colour(s) and edge style (scalloped or smooth).

  2. Check our list of manufacturers handled to see if we carry your pattern. If we do, we may be able to purchase your pieces for our clients. If your pattern isn't listed, we can still handle the sale of all your pieces from start to finish.

  3. Next, contact us with all the details from your list. You can use our Seller's Registration Form or call us / email us your list together with your complete contact information and your ballpark asking price. Our contact information is listed here. (If you have a photo showing the pattern, you may also email that to us in a.jpg, .bmp, or .gif format with a maximum 1Mb file size.)

  4. Once we know what you have, we can research the demand for your pattern/pieces and arrange with you delivery to our Pickering office or pick-up by an agent of Old China Patterns. If you are out of town we can recommended packing & shipping methods.

  5. Whether we are buying your pieces or selling for you, the condition of your pieces is a factor in the value of your pieces. Purchase quotations or estimates are based on your pieces being received at our location in excellent/mint condition.
